OVERVIEW:
The module begins with exploring the concept of futures thinking, where participants are introduced to the concept that the future(s) are infinite possibilities influenced by our actions today. This foundational module covers the way for a deep dive into both the artistic and scientific methods used to study and shape the future. participants will learn to appreciate the balance between imaginative foresight and empirical analysis, equipping them with the skills needed to navigate complex futures.
OBJECTIVES:

SYSTEMS THINKING
OVERVIEW:
Establishing a resilient government that can anticipate radical uncertainties requires the ability to explore the world as an interconnect systems. Systems thinking is one of the core essential tools for futurists and policy makers. This workshop will introduce the principles of systems thinking and its applications in the government sectors.
OBJECTIVES:
Demonstrate the essentials of systems thinking.
Apply the fundamental systems thinking in policy making and decision making.
Design an anticipatory system for encountering discontinuities and emerging trends.
Apply domain mapping in practical applications to inform strategic decision-making and scenario planning.

OVERVIEW:
This interactive course will investigate the exploration of world futures through the lens of social, Technological, Economic, and Environmental emerging changes that may shape the future of government sector, education, food security, energy, transportation, and tourism. Participants will engage in identifying early signals and wild cards and analyze their implications for various key sectors.
OBJECTIVES:
Examine how these emerging signals could influence the futures of various sectors such as education, health, environment, food security, transportation, and tourism globally.
Analyze Learn the intersections of technological innovations in social, environmental, and economic domains.
Present key strategic thinking to anticipate and prepare for future scenarios based on the analysis of these weak signals and wild cards.

SCENARIOS PLANNING
OVERVIEW:
In this module, participants will understand the fundamentals and applications of scenario planning methods to effectively shape and influence future developments. They will be introduced to various schools of scenario planning, gaining insights into different strategic foresight methodologies. Through detailed discussions of future scenarios, participants will learn how to analyze and articulate preferred futures. Additionally, the module will focus on backcasting techniques, empowering participants to identify and implement actions needed today to achieve these envisioned futures.
